Cornell Tunnel Repairs

This City of Portland, Oregon project involved a two-lane tunnel 250 feet long and another 500 feet long. Each tunnel received a new illumination system; hydro demolition removal of delaminated and deteriorated concrete; installation of approximately 120 cubic yards of new shotcrete lining; drainage improvements behind the new lining and the existing concrete. This drainage included 3-inch diameter drain holes drilled 10 feet deep into the hillside. In total, 20 cubic yards of voids were pressure grouted.
