This remote landslide repair project rebuilt 450 feet of Forest Service Road 25 with deep excavation, geogrid stabilization, drainage systems, and onsite rock production.

Forest Service Road #25

The Forest Service Road 25 at milepost 25.03 is a landslide repair project. The work is to remove the landslide material down to firm volcanic tuff and embank rock to build back to its original grades. Reconstruct 450 feet of roadway, 6 feet deep with stabilization geogrid and select borrow placement. To ensure proper drainage, an underdrain system, new culverts and spillway pipe were installed. Asphalt paving and striping will complete the project. Due to the remote location of the landslide, all aggregate materials on the project were produced by drilling, blasting and crushing to meet the specifications.
