Nestucca River Culvert Replacement

Located at the headwaters of the Nestucca River one of the Oregon Coast’s premier fishing rivers dewatering and environmental concerns were the highest on MJ Hughes and Bureau of Land Managements radar. For this project we were allowed to pump the waters around us using twin 8″ diesel trash pumps with fish exclusion screens in place. Then we dug up and removed the failing 12′ diameter steel culvert, installed rip rap on the slopes, fish logs and a new bridge.
