Timber Trestle Repairs – Bundle of 19 Trestles

Washington State Department of Transportation contracted with MJ Hughes to make repairs under one contract to 19 trestles owned by the DOT and operated by three different operators. All of the trestles crossed sensitive environments and were live to train operations during the repairs requiring MJ Hughes to coordinate work windows and curfews directly with the Operators. Access to the sites was limited to Hy Rail equipment which MJ Hughes owns and utilized extensively to complete this contract. Typical repairs included stringer replacements, framed bent replacements, post pile replacements, tie replacements, pile cap replacements and handrail replacements.
