Project Description
This Oregon Parks and Recreation Department project was within a very remote area and required the demolition of an old wooden water reservoir and foundation with associated piping. The existing wooden water reservoir was damaged during the devasting wildfires that impacted the Detroit Lake area in 2020. The site preparation and construction required the mobilization of equipment and the new 173,000-gallon water reservoir through an environmentally sensitive area. The new 42-foot diameter reservoir foundation was formed and poured to receive the new water reservoir. All associated water piping, valves, and electrical were installed as well as protective fencing. The site and access were restored to better than the original condition.
